“This year’s conference is especially timely and relevant,” said Lisa Morris, Director, Cross Cultural Initiatives at Commonwealth Medicine, who is one of the organizers of the conference. “I know this year’s conference will be particularly meaningful for attendees. The coronavirus pandemic has highlighted the critical role of medical and ASL interpreters in helping bridge communications barriers faced by patients accessing health care services.”

Keynote speakers at this year’s conference include Elena Langdon, an educator who is certified by both the American Translators Association and the Commission for Healthcare Interpreters, and Kevin Richmond, who develops and delivers training to organizations on how to serve their Deaf/Hard of Hearing/DeafBlind patients.

Conference sessions are approved by CCHI, IMIA, and RID for continuing education credits. Details are available in workshop listing.
