The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) has elected Nicole Trask, PharmD, of UMass Medical School to a two-year term as secretary of the AMCP Northeast Regional Affiliate. She will be formally added to the Board of Directors at the North Eastern AMCP Regional Affiliate Membership Meeting and Reception April 25.
In her role as secretary, Trask will work alongside the region’s program director to ensure smooth communications with other sites and organize virtual meetings. She will also be responsible for taking minutes, creating agendas, and more, for all NE AMCP meetings as appropriate.
Trask, a clinical consultant pharmacist for Clinical Pharmacy Services, is well known in the pharmaceutical community as a source for insight on new drugs coming through the pharmacy pipeline. She provides budget impact modeling and offers her expertise as author and editor-in-chief of the annual Pipeline Trends publication. She also presents nationally on the budget impacts of specialty drugs and new gene therapies, and will appear at the AMCP Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy Annual Meeting 2018 April 24 to discuss “A Whole New World: Navigating the Gene Therapy Pipeline.”
AMCP supports grassroots efforts working toward the advancement of managed care pharmacy through education, advocacy, and community efforts. The Northeast Affiliate of AMCP serves Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
