UMass Medical School LTSS solutions to be celebrated and highlighted at National Home and Community Based Services Conference

UMass Medical School’s long-term services and supports (LTSS) solutions will be both celebrated and presented at the National Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, Aug. 27-31. The conference is hosted by The National Association of States United for Aging and Disabilities (NASUAD).

NASUAD will present its Technology in Practice award to UMass Medical School for the MassOptions program, created in collaboration with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA) and UMass Medical School’s nonprofit business affiliate UHealthSolutions.

Northwest to Northeast Approaches to Medicaid Program Integrity

The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Senior and Disabilities Services has teamed up with partners across the state to ensure eligible individuals obtain the right services when they need them. Massachusetts Medicaid (MassHealth) also enhanced program integrity efforts to control unsustainable expansion in their long term services and supports (LTSS) portfolio. During this session, learn how Alaska and Massachusetts are working to reduce program waste and eliminate problematic providers.
